Winter is a perfect time to cozy up into your home and watch movies and, of course eat something healthy (let's at least TRY to stick to those new year's resolutions for a couple of weeks!).
Once the Christmas decor comes down, think warm, cozy textures and patterns for the winter months to bring that feeling of warmth until spring comes. These pieces can also transition into the warmer months with just a few changes.
This rug, with a simple neutral color and square cross pattern, is suitable for any space. Of course this AMAZING dark blue, velvet-like sofa (that we just sold off of our showroom floor - but dont fret! we can re-order this piece!) is double deep, and perfect for lounging, brings comfort and a touch of elegance all at once! Paired with a fun patterned pillow and a poof pillow, a super chunky knit blanket (that we carry in the shop), it flows perfectly with the rug and gives it a bit of extra personality.
Then the lighting... OHHHHH The lighting. Have you ever thought about how important lighting is for your space? Lighting is one of the key elements to consider when designing your space. It has the ability to alter the mood of who is in the room (seriously - why do you think fancy restaurants are lit the way they are?). Lighting transforms shape, size, feel... did we mention the coziness!? For these cold winter nights, some simple lamps with warm toned lightbulbs, a fire in the fireplace along with winter scented candles (maybe something woodsy/cologne/bergamont?) and we have to have the candle accessories with the candles! Soon, those winter blues will drift away more quickly than you could have guzzled down that hot chocolate you wanted!
